Oscar Brousse Jacobson, a Swedish-born American painter, had a big impact on Native American art in the US. He led the University of Oklahoma’s School of Art from 1915 to 1945, organizing exhibitions and writing books on Native American art. The school is now known as the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
